The Mantle Adorned

The Qasida al-Burdah of Imam al-Busiri is the most widely memorized and recited poem in Islamic history. For over seven centuries, Muslims across every land have returned to it for healing, blessing, and renewed love for the Prophet.

The Mantle Adorned presents the complete Arabic text alongside a new English verse translation and extensive commentary by Abdal Hakim Murad, arguably the finest English treatment of the Burdah available. The commentary traces the poem's historical background, its theological depths, and its enduring spiritual power.

For anyone who wishes not just to read the Burdah but to understand it.
