Returns and refunds

We are a small nonprofit bookstore, and we want you to love what you ordered. If something is not right, here is how we handle it.

If your order arrived damaged, defective or wrong

We will fix it at our cost, wherever you live. Email us at bookstore@celebratemercy.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a few photos of the item, the box and the packing. You can choose a replacement or a full refund, including what you paid for shipping. Most of the time you will not need to send anything back. For large items like rugs and framed art, please keep the box until we have sorted it out, because the carrier may ask to see it.

If your package is lost in transit, let us know and we will send a replacement or refund you once the carrier confirms it.

If you change your mind (US orders)

You can return most items within 30 days of delivery. Items need to be unused and unread, with no writing or marks, and in their original packaging. Bundles and libraries need to come back complete.

To start a return, email us with your order number first. We will send you a prepaid return label, and its cost comes out of your refund. Shipping charges from your original order are not refundable.

Rugs, wooden sandal replicas, framed art and canvases must come back in the box they arrived in, packed the way we sent them. If a return arrives used, damaged or missing pieces, we may offer a partial refund.

Items we cannot take back

Sale and clearance items, gift cards, digital items, custom or personalized orders, and audio or video that has been opened.

International orders

Shipping across borders costs a lot in both directions, so we are not able to accept change-of-mind returns from outside the United States. If your order arrives damaged, defective or wrong, the same promise above applies: send us photos within 7 days and we will replace it or refund you. If you live in the EU or the UK, you keep any return rights your local law gives you.

Your refund

Once your return reaches our warehouse and we have checked it, we will email you and refund your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it. If you have not seen it after 15 business days, write to us and we will look into it.
