On Prayers Upon the Prophet ﷺ (Gems from the Shifa of Qadi Iyad)

The Shifa of Qadi Iyad is one of the greatest books ever written about the Prophet Muhammad. This compact volume extracts its most precious gems on salawat, the prayers upon the Prophet that Allah commands every believer to send.

Why do we send prayers upon him? What do they do for us? What forms are most virtuous? How do they connect us to him across time? These questions are answered with the precision of classical scholarship and the warmth of genuine love.

A beautiful companion for anyone who wants to make salawat a living part of their daily worship.
